CLAS Classics undergraduate elective courses that may be counted toward the major in RTA.
CLAS/REL * Classics/Relgion undergraduate courses that are required for the major in RTA (same course, cross-listed)
CLAS/REL ** REL undergraduate course that is required for the major and is the gateway course for the BA/MA in RTA. A grade of B or above is required.
REL*** REL courses that can be counted toward the MA in RTA.
REL ♦ REL graduate courses that can be counted toward both the BA and MA in RTA. A grade of B or above is required.
GenEd/Electives Undergraduate courses that satisfy GenEd and elective requirements outside of the RTA major.

Notes:

[1] There are six required graduate courses for the MA, namely REL 600 - REL 605. Each is offered once every two years. Thus, first-year graduate students will take whichever three are offered during their combined senior/graduate year and the remaining three in the following year.
[2] REL 688 - Plan B Research  and REL 700 - Thesis Research  are available on demand for students who have advanced to candidacy. Plan A students may take up to 6 units of REL 700 . Plan B students may take up to three units of REL 688 .
[3] See note [2] above. REL 700  is only available for students who have selected Plan A (thesis).
